The voiced speech of a typical adult male will have a fundamental frequency from 85 to 180 Hz, and that of a typical adult female from 165 to 255 Hz.
The easiest way to find your own vocal range is to sing a scale slowly whilst playing it on an instrument. The diagram below shows the names of notes on piano and guitar. Middle C is C4 in Scientific Pitch Notation, and note that the numbers change from B to C, not from G to A as the alphabet might suggest.
